ITTE Scheme
Free Software for Teacher Training
We support the Initial Teacher Training Software Site Licence (ITTSSL) agreed by BESA (the British Educational Suppliers Association), ITTE (The Association for Information Technology in Teacher Education) and TDA (Training and Development Agency).
This means that we will provide a site licence for most of our software packages completely free of charge* to establishments with Initial Teacher Training provision. The licence also entitles all students at licensed establishments to have the software free of charge* on their own computers during the duration of their ITT course and for up to one year after they have graduated. Students attending establishments that are not licensed through the ITTSSL scheme can purchase the software at reduced rates – find out more

Software available to ITT establishments
Textease Studio CT – a suite of nine Textease tools (FREE).
Tizzy’s First Tools – a fully integrated set of seven ICT tools designed for 4 – 7 year olds (FREE).
Teddy Bear Tools – begin to explore ICT functions with Early Years learners (FREE).
Honeycomb – creative, e-safe, online tools for the classroom (charges detailed below).
Podium – the all in one podcasting solution (charges are as detailed below for Podium student licences).
Fuse Creator – create interactive activities, quickly and easily (FREE).
Easiteach Next Generation – interactive software for whiteboards, projectors and other devices (FREE)
Charges for Honeycomb and Podium licences
Due to licence charges we incur from third parties we have to charge establishments a nominal fee for Honeycomb and Podium licences. For further information and to order please call +44 (0) 161 495 7800, or email sales@lightbox-ed.com.
Honeycomb
There is a hosting charge of £125 to teacher training establishments which covers up to 250 user accounts (i.e. based on individual users, not the number of computers Honeycomb could potentially be used on). The charge covers a one year annual subscription and will therefore need to be renewed after 12 months.

Podium
Teacher training establishments are required to pay a small licence fee on a per computer basis.
- Master licence (i.e. charge for licensing the first computer) – £8
- Additional licence (i.e. charge to license each computer thereafter) – £3.75 per machine
Student Podium Licence
These Podium licences DO NOT cover licensing of student’s computers. Students must purchase their own Podium licence for their own machines. The licence then belongs to the student and is valid after they have graduated. See student licences for more details.

To obtain this software for your establishment please call 01332 258381, or email sales@lightbox-ed.com stating the desired titles and your teacher training college.
Software Download
The software is available for students to download from each respective product website (with the exception of Tizzy’s First and Teddy Bear Tools). Establishments can then roll out the permanent licence keys to students given to them for this purpose.
